Graduate Research Assistant

Tobi Lasisi is a graduate research assistant at the SSRC, as well as the in-house software developer for Mississippi Alcohol Safety Education Program (MASEP). Originally from Nigeria, Lasisi moved to the U.S. in 2017 to earn her Ph.D. in computer science and engineering. Lasisi’s first research position was with the Social, Therapeutic, and Robotic Systems (STaRS) lab where she collaborated with the Center for Advanced Vehicular Systems to explore new ways to support vehicle parts alignment in automobile manufacturing. She is conducting her dissertation research on the application of machine learning and recommendation technologies to support requirements engineering processes under the direction of Cindy Bethel and Tanmay Bhowmik. Lasisi’s research interests are in Human-Computer Interactions, User Experience Research, and Requirements Engineering. Read her spotlight story here!
