Under the framework of the Child Health and Development Project: Mississippi Thrive!, Dr. Gina Rico Mendez is collaborating with a group of state stakeholders that is seeking to develop a State Comprehensive Systems of Personnel Development (CSPD) for the Early Childhood (EC) workforce. This effort seeks to address EC workforce challenges such as personnel shortages, workforce training, standards, and challenges faced by EC personnel given the diverse needs of children and families. Technical assistance for this work is provided by The Early Childhood Personnel Center (ECPC) from the University of Connecticut Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities.
