Dr. Hossfeld served as MSU’s Department of Sociology as Professor and Head of Department from 2015 to 2018. She founded the Mississippi Food Insecurity Project that examines and documents food insecurity and food access in the Global South. Her research focuses on collaborative partnerships around local food systems development and food access. Dr. Hossfeld now serves as dean in the College of Behavioral, Social and Health Sciences at Clemson University.
